Unfortunately this link does not work in the Republic of Ireland. I'm guessing it only works in the UK.
In the 630 programme she got it right 6 yearsSadly when introduced by the Newsreader in the 5.30pm News, said Merryn had been severely ill for 6 days, not years. Sadly, think was a misread of the script - or even thought must be a typo.
Still, was important to have such a strong and personal piece on air, though wish this had never happened.
“I am Merryn’s sister. Considering Action For ME have not responded to my message, I want to make this very clear. We saw this earlier today. Action For ME have never had anything to do with us or with Merryn. We have never communicated with them. Nor (in response to some of the comments worryingly in this thread) do we support anything to do with the Lightning Process, which quite frankly, is utterly appalling and exceptionally dangerous for the ME community. Not to mention highly unethical. For Action For ME to be speaking to journalists about her story, as they have stated above, I am unsure why this is as they never met or corresponded with her, or us as a family.I'm not on FB but gather Merryn Crofts family have expressed some concerns on AfME FB page (?)
And from what I can see Sonya seems to have addressed them.I'm not on FB but gather Merryn Crofts family have expressed some concerns on AfME FB page (?)
And the posts about Lightnng Process are still there which isn’t just tacky it’s distressing to the family
Yes was watching a documentary about Scientology earlier and I just kept thinking about the parallels with the BPS and LP mafiasYes, I pointed out how cult-like the LP crowd are on Facebook. Wonder if that'll remain...
Yes, I very much agree. Seems incredibly insensitive and glory-seeking to exploit Merryn's story without any prior contact with her family, until then provoked into it after the fact. Unfortunately from what I've seen in the @Action for M.E. thread, this seems horribly consistent.Still, it's all rather tacky, isn't it?
Too bad video is not available to watch everywhere... Maybe someone could convert it and repost without this limitation?

I didn't know before about the "2% very severely affected". There may be other things in the article that are new, as opposed to the other articles which tend to be identical.Rochdale Online with an in depth and informative article about Merryn Croft, her family and ME.
