Merryn Crofts - media and inquest

I encourage Henrik Vogt to go right on letting the world know of his views on these matters, in as public and undeniable a manner as possible.

I can think of no better way for him to ultimately and decisively destroy his own credibility and reputation.

There are few people I can find less forgiveness for in this appalling chapter of medicine than this third-rate sociopathic vulture.

He is nothing more than a stark lesson in how little a formal education can be worth in the wrong brain.

I honestly think it's hard to know what is best to do, ignore him or challenge him, I would happily dismiss him as a crackpot but he first came to my attention a good while back when Sharpe thanked him on Twitter for trying to defend the 'irrational criticism' of the PACE trial:

So there is a wee network going on there.

And Henrik does display a callousness that is hard to ignore, hard just to dismiss as zealotry. But does he really matter in the scheme of things?

I do though fully understand why some engage with him directly, he seems to enjoy actually goading. Or maybe English not being first language makes him seem more stilted/cold, not that I am defending him one jot, of course.

It says the comments have been moderated. Maybe they're in a moderation queue? The two comments on there were poste posted 9 hours ago as approx 7pm.
Still just two. Looks like intelligent discussion not wanted. Mine were critical of the awful way the mail ended it by saying patient activists and some Drs believe it's physical etc. Still undermining us. I'm not surprised they didn't print it but can't believe no one else wrote in.

Could someone who uses Twitter let Hillary Johnson know that Merryn died on the 23rd April last year, i.e. 2017? A factual correction would not detract from sentiments expressed, and which I share.

Wishing everyone improved health and every happiness. John :)

ETA to clarify meaning in last sentence.

ME Association Facebook: Channel 5 news this evening

Merryn's family were this morning interviewed by Channel 5 news following the overwhelming response to last weekend's news stories.

The interview should be broadcast this evening at 5pm and again at 6.30pm. And Dr Shepherd just informed me that he was also interviewed by Channel 5 briefly on the phone.

Thanks for posting, @Eagles, good to know about this.

What do you think about maybe changing the title of the thread to 'Channel 5 News interview tonight with family of the late Merryn Crofts (young PWME)' or something?

Sadly when introduced by the Newsreader in the 5.30pm News, said Merryn had been severely ill for 6 days, not years. Sadly, think was a misread of the script - or even thought must be a typo.

Still, was important to have such a strong and personal piece on air, though wish this had never happened.
