We're obliged to get the evidence out there for those who want it, using every platform available - Esther Crawley
Super, we'll have a look at the data from your trials please. The virology blog is a very available platform and has been inviting you to get the evidence out there and clear up a few misunderstandings for quite some time. And while you're at it, ask your mates from the PACE trial to get the evidence out there for those who want it too, because they've blown 250k of someone else's money making sure we can't see it.

I've rarely seen anyone so ready to stand up and tell so many porkies without a hint of shame. Bare-faced doesn't even begin to describe it. It's almost as if EC, Michael Sharpe and the rest of them had a drunken sweepstake in their student days to see who could get away with telling the biggest whoppers in the course of their career. The closing date must be soon because they're all going flat out to out-do each other as they hurtle down the final straight.

Oh go on ...if you pick me up on misspelt words you can certainly have a go at the fingers poor use of grammar ?
Wow, you've got a long memory ...
Now I hear myself sounding like widow twanky in a pantomime ...
Funnily enough when I read your posts that's the voice I always hear you speaking in too ... what are the chances?

As long as it's Les Dawson you should be ok.

Perhaps with info on viral and parasitic infections she may have learnt something.

Perhaps the strength of " stories" can be the catalyst for change if patients own them.

Looking at how other scientists carry their community with them , engage and move things forward , and through dialogue and debate actively encourage research in this field : where the importance of null results are acknowledged as important .
It seems an alternative universe to where we find ourselves.

I seriously wonder how she will reconcile all that she has done, and all that has been done in her name, when the " eureka" moment dawns.

UK CMRC Conference 2016 - Video of Esther Crawley's lecture

@1:55 Esther Crawley says "...there's good evidence for CBT in paediatric CFS". What evidence is she referring to? Also why are the comments disabled, are they afraid of descenting opinions?

Developing the Paediatric Researchers of the Future - Bristol - Crawley and Marlow

Intercalated BSc in Child Health Research

Taught by paediatric researchers from across the University of Bristol, this new course for 2021 is specifically designed to help medical students to engage early in research, increasing their competitiveness for (academic) clinical jobs and a career in paediatrics. This iBSc will provide students with the opportunity to develop real world research skills and benefit from innovative programme level assessment designed to mirror the professional development and assessment of practicing clinicians.

The entire programme is oriented around research, and students will benefit from expert research led teaching drawn from the wide range of world leading paediatric research undertaken in Bristol.

Unit 2: Conducting Successful Child Health Research
This unit will help you understand how to successfully deliver research; with teaching on the ethics of research in children, how to carry out Public and Patient Involvement, and training on leadership and wellbeing. (20 credits)

https://www.bristol.ac.uk/medical-school/study/undergraduate/intercalated-child-health-research/

[hmm, LP study, reuse of REC number on non related papers, avoiding ethics approval by trying to pass off research as 'sevice evaluation', TEDx talk techniques (how to lie convincingly).......]

@dave30th might be of interest.
