I don't think fundraising should be the main aim to start. I also think that there should be no mention of CFS; it wouldn't even have to mention ME.However saying that I just don’t think the public would donate to CFS Or ME/CFS, it’s too stigmatised.
I like it @Sly SaintI don't think fundraising should be the main aim to start. I also think that there should be no mention of CFS; it wouldn't even have to mention ME.
Rather than trying to include everything/anything in a very short ad, a fairly short campaign that promoted something else (something bigger and more educating in terms of what has been going on for decades) would be more beneficial.
Subsequent donations would be a bonus.
eg: Unrest, or Voices from the shadows.

Voice over
"If we become seriously ill we all expect to be treated with compassion and helped to regain our health"
"We don't expect to be disbelieved, blamed for being ill or dismissed by the medical profession"
"Isolated by a severe illness these patients lie hidden away. Fearful of retribution, their stories are untold or denied"
(taken from Vf the shadows)
"We are not asking for pity, or money, we just want people to know the truth".
ITV. A 30-second ad during ITV's breakfast schedule between the likes of Good Morning Britain or Lorraine costs between £3,000 to £4,000 on average. For a daytime slot, ads of the same time length come in at £3,500 to £4,500, while a peak rate alternative can cost anything from £10,000 £30,000.
Cost of TV Advertising. For local television stations, advertisers can expect to pay anywhere from $200 to $1500 for a 30-second commercial. A 30-second spot broadcast nationally averaged around $123,000 as of 2016. The highest cost placements for Super Bowl Ads can go for upwards of $4 million.
Maybe in a country where TV-ads are cheaper and almost nothing is known about ME/CFS, like France, Germany or Italy this could be a good idea.Trying to get the complexities of what we would want to convey about ME across in a 30 second ad seems to me to be unachievable and not a good use of scarce resources.
