I have just watched Prof. Kristian Sommerfelt who is a paediatrician. He described in detail the steps he goes through with children and adolescents to diagnose them with ME with very careful questioning. He talked about the importance of pacing and said there is not evidence that pwME have psychological problems or that it has a psychological cause. And he was clear that CBT/GET don't work.
He said in Norway he has observed numbers of cases rising, and that schools are learning to recognise it and put in place the right support, and GP's can be good, but hospital doctors are generally not good.
He seemed like a really caring doctor who understands ME well.
