Petition 122600 to the German Bundestag: Healthcare, Scientific Research and Political Support for ME/CFS Sufferers!, 2021

My partner encountered the same problem and going by posts on Twitter, this happens quite often.

The IT team of the petition website advised by email to use a different browser and also to try using a password of 15 characters or less (but more than 7).
This did not solve the problem for my partner.

She succeeded eventually, using a password of 15 characters and restricting her choice of special characters to those provided by the website as 'examples' of special characters (_#@*+?!-$).
Her hunch (unconfirmed) was that those examples of special characters are actually the only special characters allowed for password creation on that website.

Good luck and many thanks for keeping at it!

So in summary, try using:
- 8 to 15 characters
- at least 1 uppercase letter
- at least 1 lowercase letter
- at least 1 number or 1 special character
- if using special characters, use one of these: _#@*+?!-$

Thank you very much for the advice and encouragement; I couldn't register via my laptop but it worked OK on my phone. I followed your advice, re only using the special character listed, i.e. not a number - I used 10 characters but I it would work with 8 - 15 (as suggested).
Now that I've figured out how to do it I'll ask some others to try.

Just to confirm. the petition closes on November 9th 2021?

Exactly, it closes Tuesday, November 9th 2021. (Unfortunately, I don't know the exact time.) There are always only 28 days in total.

A lot of signatures have also been collected on lists. The number will be added by the Bundestag after the 9th, so there is a good chance that the 50,000 will be reached if things continue to go so well. :)

Thank you for your support and thank you to everybody else who has signed!

The petition has gone viral. Yesterday it had online 38000 signatures now it has 42000. I think it will hit 50000 easily with signatures sent by mail which I've been told are many.

I saw several Twitter accounts with large numbers of followers and no connection to ME promote the petition. Also some doctors. And some family members and patients were collecting signatures on the street. This is how you get big numbers.

Let's hope the hearing will be competent.
