    I'm posting this in case there are Cdn advocates here who are not aware of this group and who might find connecting with this group of possible use for ME advocacy:

    https://www.cma.ca/En/Pages/patient-voice.aspx

    The CMA Patient Voice is our patient liaison group and is made up of 14 individuals from across Canada. Rooted in the CMA 2020 strategic plan, the CMA Patient Voice aims to further enhance our ability to advocate for a healthy population and a vibrant medical profession.

    More specifically, the CMA Patient Voice will:

    • provide an informed patient perspective to the work of the CMA;
    • highlight emerging issues that matter to patients and the public; and
    • provide insights on patient engagement strategies and campaigns.

    I really don't know if this would be at all useful but thought I'd post it in case.

    Thanks @Snowdrop

    I'm jaded - my first reaction was not to trust a patient group put together by the CMA (coz it would be stacked with 'yes' people), but I've chatted with patient reps Julie Drury and David Price and can't see either of them acquiescing to pressure, so that tempers my attitude - but still, we'll have to see if they actually are allowed to accomplish anything.

    Thank you for contacting them to assess. I hope it might prove to be a useful avenue to pursue.

    Thank you @Snowdrop and @ScottTriGuy.

    Fourteen people across Canada is not very many.

    Do you know how long this group has been running?

    On the face of it, it has potential....maybe.
