The reference you give doesn't relate to the elevated cortisol part of the sentence. What makes you think people with ME/CFS have elevated cortisol? Looking at cortisol in ME/CFS studies broadly, there's little evidence for abnormal levels, especially high levels.
You also seem to be suggesting low oestrogen levels as a result of high cortisol levels. What evidence is there for that?
