Anyone know who awarded the prize?
Just wondering if he was a trustee of the group who set it up, remembering the Maddox prize ...

What are these "facts" to which he has allegedly stuck? Surely they were only opinions.

I wanted to post this but Chesire beat me to it. They have the nerve to pretend this is for standing up for patients too. No it's just doctors that like Fink because his scam gives them the excuse to get rid of inconvenient patients.

Science is hard. It's easier to make up the facts. Saves time and effort.

Jydsk Medical Society awards Prize for Civil Courage to Per Fink

Authors: Jakob Starup Linde, Stig Andersen, Signe Engkjær Christensen, Jens Frederik
    Dahlerup, Peter Vestergaard

Jydsk Medical Society (JMS) awards Per Fink's chief medical officer the "Prize for Civil Courage",
because he has provided important and consistent care and with great care to his patients
efforts for an exposed patient group and often in strong headwinds have been firmly on the truth.
With the price comes 25,000 kr.

Certain diseases, conditions and areas of disease are surrounded by more and more emotions than
others, just as attitudes, can play a larger role than facts. Re-classification of conditions and
Diseases are considered by some to make them disappear.

Per Fink, under great and often fierce opposition, maintained the truth and the desire to
helping his patients though this has been difficult.

The Jydsk Medical Society's award to Per Fink may well be an encouragement to doctors and doctors
organizations to deal with public matters in sensitive cases with great emotion involved.

The award ceremony will take place during the company's meeting on 19 September 2019 in auditorium B at
    Aarhus University Hospital, Skejby

This award may set some new kind of record for cluelessness (on a per fink basis, of course).

Way to go Jutlandic Medical Society! /s

    [ETA: It's a $3,700 prize.]

This award has already aged like week-old milk in 90% humidity at 30C.

What's the deal with participation trophies, though? Frankly ridiculous given the context.

Actually when I saw that it’s a bunch of Drs in the region dishing out awards to each other I did think it sounds like mutual backslapping. Probably all standing in a circle
