hi I’m sure I can get overall population for my city and region can anyone point me to what the % figure is that gives around 250k PWME in the UK. This could be useful on Sunday.
https://www.me-pedia.org/wiki/United_KingdomThe British National Health Service estimates that 250,000 people in the United Kingdom have myalgic encephalomyelitis.[1] This represents a prevalence of around 0.4% of the UK population.
Doctor Luis Nacul and colleagues found prevalence in some regions of England to be around 0.2% using the 1994 Fukuda criteria, and 0.11% using the stricter Canadian Consensus Criteria.[2]
Thanks @Andy soz should have thought of that but..........
But how have you defined East Midlands? I mean is Rutland included or North lincs? If you go by tv region you may also have to include North Cambridgeshire (they tend to get forgotten by ‘Anglian’ people)Ok so it’s around 18,000 for the East Midlands based on the population figure of 4.5 million quoted on Wikipedia which is good enough for these purposes
Thanks
