Free nasal microbiome test/study at uBiome

missed this offer by a hair. the website said it was still going. but they sent mail saying they were not sending out more tests for a while or something.

quite upset at missing it, as i have a nasopharyngeal staph infection and botched cauterization that would produce potentially useful results. [i wasn't able at the time to sign so asked somebody who didn't think it was urgent.]
 
My returned kit seems to be stuck somewhere in the US, and uBiome doesn't reply to my question.
I thought about taking their offer right now, but it seems the stuff won't return. But then...no. sad :(
 
I wonder if uBiome have received the returned kits but are overwhelmed by the number they received. As they aren't sending out any new kits at present, maybe it could be that there is a backlog waiting to be scanned??
 
I see in my emails today that my test kit arrived at uBiome on Friday. So, 35 days return post. I was beginning to think it might have got lost. It didn't help that I had lost the tracking number.

I haven't heard anything yet. I've been waiting to hear when you receive yours because mine returned a month after yours.
 
No. It seems it was stuck at the customs. I think I contacted uBiome some weeks ago but didn't receice a reply. Maybe I'll try again.

I'm still very interested in hearing about your results.

I'm glad I did mine test when my sinuses were bad. Just hope they were able to capture it from the testing areas further away from the nasopharynx.

It sounds like we could be waiting another 3 months. Hope we get it this year! Oh, well, at least it shouldn't be as long as waiting for ME research.
 
Just posting this here - I ordered this kit as part of the promotion but never got round to using it. I don’t think I will now...so would anyone be interested in buying it off me at a cheaper but fair price + postage?

It’s unopened and as far as I’m aware not specifically registered to me, though I can check the latter.

Let me know and we can sort something out! Obviously UK and EU people will benefit from cheaper postage as that’s where I’m located.
