Just placed my order; it's my Christmas present to myself. This is something I've been thinking of doing for quite some time.

Definitely. It will be interesting to compare our results with each other.

Wonder how long it will take to get to NZ. Can you guys let us know when you receive your test kit?

There can be no diagnosis at this time. They are collecting data. There may be some broad patterns that can point you in some direction. There could be correlations with certain species etc. That's what they're trying to figure out. It's basically a databank.

I wouldn't mind doing this three years in a row to see if I am getting the same infection all the time or whatever it is that feels like infection.

Remember to write down that you have ME/CFS for their data. I don't know if they ask whether you have an illness or not.

They have questionnaires you can fill out about your health status.

Will do too. It'll be interesting to see if there are results we have in common, if they have any possible significance in ME.

I noticed the postal address on the packet read San Francisco. I thought it was coming from somewhere much further inland.

    Thank you @Rosie.
I wonder if this long shipping time will influence the test.

I received my test kit yesterday. 11 days. And considering Christmas and Boxing Day was in there, that is pretty good.

I received mine today (UK), so that was not bad considering the holidays.

They must have good preservatives in the solutions.

I'm thinking I might do my swabs first thing in the morning, within a half hour of waking. Sometime this week. I haven't done it yet.

What time of day is everyone else on this thread doing their swabs?

I hadn't thought about it. I'm going to wait until my sinuses are bad, headache is bad, and malaise is bad. I want to know what is happening when my chronic sinusitis is acting up. I imagine it will be in the next week.

Yeah, I'm glad the timing has been perfect for me as mine are bad at the moment and exactly the sinus problem infection (whatever) I have had all the way through (all the years of my ME) so it will be interesting to see the makeup of it.

All the back of my nasopharyx area feels sore and can feel the mucus there (TMI - sorry). Moving house a month ago has flared it up bad again.

Did you have any problems with the German Zoll (customs)? I ordered another test at uBiome a few months ago, but the Zoll didn't let it through, so it was returned.

Oh  I didn't think about that at all. I received the kit today - so no problem in that direction. Do you think there will be a problem in the other direction, i.e. to the US?

As far as I know, there's no problem in the other direction.
