Exercise-induced changes in cerebrospinal fluid miRNAs in Gulf War Illness, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and sedentary control subjects, 2017, Baraniuk

Or maybe many cases of anxiety and depression (enough to create an statistical association) are misunderstood physical conditions, and not as claimed, primarily psychological conditions.

Right: I think many of us feel this way. I think many psychs do as well. But it's the ones who do not, and perhaps even some that may have an agenda, that we have to be concerned with manipulating "biological" into something more "psych/social."

I don't think we should be too distracted from the biomedical science in this study into speculations about how the psychs might misuse the information. It's a biomedical study and has found distinct differences between healthy, ME/CFS and GWI patients after exercise. Surely that is good news. The fact that it is in CSF rather than blood doesn't detract from the fact that it's biomedical evidence.

Agreed.

I think we should embrace the science and the evidence, while keeping a close eye on the narrative. We need to look after us.
