Esther Crawley's contribution to #MEawarenessweek

Not a joke... :(

What a bitter hijack...

There really should be an awareness day to bring attention to the plight of researchers who suffer from tunnel vision.

That light they see ahead is often coming from a dead end.

My teenagers are often attached to the Wifi by an invisible umbilical cord
They obviously haven't understood the point of Wifi in the Crawley household, which is that there are no more cables. The cables don't become invisible, they are simply not there. It's Wifi.

This statement is interesting in that it shows the undue influence of Freud in the house though. I believe Crawley's talk of umbilical cords is a reflection of the difficulties she faces in letting go as her teenagers become independent adults who don't need her any more. It's a cry for help - "Umbilical cord, Skype, don't leave me! Come to me, all the children of the world - you all need me!" She should be detained and treated for her Pied Piper complex before it causes any more harm.

We always use integrated qualitative methods in our trials but (tissue alert)

"tissue alert" is not refering to a Kleenex, but to the expensive security system she's had installed to detect any cell tissue from biological samples which may unduly influence her integrated qualitive methods. Her "Tissue Alert" is actually a big red flashing warning light over the door of her clinic.

Which I think probably just shows that we are all human
Thank you Esther, not everybody needs reminding of that.

Good start, but the fact that the children are attached to technological devices by an umbilical cord suggests a poor grasp of the basics of motherhood and basic biology. A Freudian would surely be wondering about displacement and imposter syndrome too. :P

I've just checked my navel and cannot find a USB port in there. Kids today.

A sad, but very important witness. Please retweet if you are om twitter.

"I'm in an online group of almost 1000 parents of kids with ME. Many of these kids attend(ed) Esther Crawley's clinics/trials. None have recovered in 6 months. As far as I'm aware none have recovered. Statistics don't seem to match up with reality."

I guess someone with a Twitter account can contact the person with the signature motherofalien@agirlandme.

Maybe the mother, and other poor parents in that group, would like to tell the world more about their experiences from those unscientific experiments with young people.

@dave30th
I am on another online mum' s forum. Smaller but some have had similar opinions and experiences.
There are a few good stories, too where staff advise against doing too much too soon. It would seem to depend who you get ( no pun intended)

So much to be nauseated by in this puff-piece of self-promotion, but one thing I find really telling is this weirdness:
"My teenagers are often attached to the Wifi by an invisible umbilical cord so I would assume all teenagers would love online treatment." (Emphasis mine)

Just, eeew.
eeew indeed.

Can't stand adults disrespecting their own kids to try and cosy in with other adults.
