Welcome to our study
We have secured funding from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) School for Primary Care Research to look, in the first instance, at the association of SARS-CoV-2 infection with long-term outcomes in children and young people. We will do this by analysing school survey data linked to electronic health record data. For details, see Project 1.
Funding has also been secured in the form of an NIHR Advanced Fellowship to look at the association of infections more generally with long-term outcomes in children and young people, again using school survey data linked to electronic health record data. Under the Fellowship, associations of infections including SARS-CoV-2 will then be applied to all children in England to quantify healthcare burden and cost. For details, see Project 2.
