At a recent SMCI gathering in Redwood City, Dr. Jose Montoya, a clinician who has fought for people with ME/CFS for nearly two decades, addressed those who suffer from ME/CFS on behalf of all clinicians. Dr. Montoya is a powerful and caring ally, and we were moved by his wisdom and empathy.

There is so much to like about Montoya and I really appreciate that he consequently speaks about the failures from the community he himself is a part of. A lot of doctors should be doing that to gain momentum, but it requires some serious guts admitting a thing of two, and unfortunately will not will happen. But what a great man to have as a clinician, scientist and spokesman!

I hope he will be a speaker at the upcoming NIH conference. Even though his English isn't that good, he says the right things.
