Well this gives those of us who are normally able to do a bit of social activity, breaks away, lunch out etc a very worthwhile alternative to put that part of our budget towards 
I'm confused about what the money raised will go towards. Does it fund @dave30th's position as an employee of UC Berkeley or does it fund Trial by Error as a project?
Is there a place to send checks for those who can't for whatever reason donate on the internet?

As many of you know, my ongoing investigation of bad research into ME, CFS, so-called “medically unexplained symptoms,” etc., conducted under the “Trial By Error” name on Virology Blog, is my project as a UC Berkeley public health academic researcher and journalist–even though Virology Blog itself is hosted by Columbia University microbiology professor Vincent Racaniello.
