One commenter supported the need for greater simplification of the rating schedule and disability determination process and was concerned that this proposed update to the schedule for infectious disease, immune disorders and nutritional deficiencies excludes nurse practitioners and their patients. Multiple commenters including individual veterans, Veterans Advocacy Organizations, Veterans Service Organizations, and other professional organizations expressed a wide range of concerns regarding the proposed changes to the definition of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) under paragraph 4.88a and the name change for DC 6354. NB: unlike the Veterans Affairs public comment exercise, the NHCS/CDC ICD-10-CM C & M Committee does not publish responses or summarize responses, nor does it publish rationales for decisions made following consideration of the proposals presented at its twice yearly meetings.
