Phil Hammond on BBC Radio 4 (merged thread)
I had the radio on in the background while I was doing things in the kitchen and caught bits of this programme.
There is a passage where he talks about the work he does. I thought it was interesting that, if I recall correctly, he described it as for...
That was one of my requests. I haven't been well enough to appeal but will try this year. It's timed out but I am going to ask if the tribunal will hear it because I have had Covid (twice) and been unwell.
I started that request years ago and have already been through one appeal for it.
I haven't looked at the study the anti-vaxxers quote so cannot say for sure, but the players are a low-risk group and have been vaccinated, which is known to protect against serious illness, so this would seem unlikely, and hardly a good response to an anti-vaxxer.
The FIFA figure being used as...

I think there may be some truth in this. We have spent all the time we have been ill facing doubt and questioning, so we have, understandably, circled the wagons. It is something of an article of faith among us (and actually a rule on this forum) not to question others' diagnosis.
Several times...
Remember, (when it suits them) they're not making any assumptions about the illness or whether it is or is not pathological. They're just rehabilitating patients.
Yeah, as with ME, there will be many announcements of breakthroughs and biomarkers, etc, which turn out to be red herrings. I remember in 1987 going to St Mary's, Paddington, for the ME blood test announced with great fanfare on BBC news. But I was young then...
After Montgomery's letter to the committee, I sent the attached response to him. He passed it on to the HRA who replied as follows:
I have copied the letter (attached) to a few people but nothing came of it. Misleading parliament is a very serious matter. I would note in particular in this...
