I haven't followed these conferences for years - I remember being really excited about them in the rituximab days and ordering the DVD every year. Are they still being worthwhile?
They are calling it 'International Conference Week' now as there are several events/conferences running consecutively, as is usual for IIMER. More details here: https://www.investinme.org/meconferenceweek2025.shtml
Didn't IiME go through a phase of not wanting anyone to attend who had been in Stephen Holgate's UK CFS/ME Research Collaborative because it included BPS people? I seem to recall that they excluded the Edinburgh group for this reason, and it would be madness if they're still doing that. Have I got this wrong? I'd just like to know whether this conference still has any value, because if it doesn't, maybe we need a UK one that does.
I think any conference would have more value if different orgs collaborated, but unfortunately they all seem to want to do their own thing.
@Jonathan Edwards - Do you still go to these conferences? Do they include the people we'd want to see there, such as the Edinburgh group?
Thanks, that's very good to see, and Chris Armstrong. Pity Dr Fluge isn't on the list or we could all have gone and asked him to give us a big placebo effect.
I've had a quick look through the links and can't find the details of dates and what is happening when during the conference week. All I found eventually was 30th May 2025, Conference registration: https://investinme.org/IIMEC17reg.shtml and agenda: https://investinme.org/IIMEC17.shtml
