    Until I bought mine, I was lying on the floor propped up by pillows if I wanted to get out of the bedroom.
    Unless you want to spend a lot of cash, I would suggest trying one out in a showroom, then buying one off of Gumtree. Ours cost £50 plus the same amount to hire a van. It was bought by someone who had a hip operation, so was hardly used.

    I would say a fully electric one is the best if you have limited energy.
