   I wonder if it could also be the body requiring potassium, and potatoes are a good source for potassium.

   Just to note here that even though I’m taking semaglutide jabs for weight loss and my appetite is reduced I still get carb cravings cutting through somewhat when I have PEM. I’m not on the full dose yet so possibly the effect will be stronger on higher doses.
   
   
   Yes I do have salt cravings too and increased thirst. Presumably those 2 could be linked in some kind of way
