Was the foxp3 (scurfy mouse) mutation discovered around the Manhattan project really just coincidence or was it an effect of radiation

Foxc1 seems to have a dose effect with over and under expression,over expression association with breast cancer and leukaemia,not sure what under expression leads to.

They use mifepristone to Stimulate FOXC1 in the paper,I find it interesting that this was trialed as a treatment in GWS,I presume it would stimulate FOXC1
