The Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health defines ME/CFS officially as a “functional disorder” and the University Hospital of Helsinki treats it as such at their somewhat over a year old Outpatient Clinic for Functional Disorders

ME/CFS-patients have started to publicly share their experiences of the treatments Functional Disorder Clinic offers to them. You can find some cases below.

“I was recommended at the clinic to get acquainted with the DNRS method, which means retraining the brain. The Gupta and Lightning process were also recommended. These are all commercial programs that you can attend at your own expense. These programs are not based to any medical evidence.”

This is a Canadian thing. The "evidence" presented is bogus. Troubling that it's being offered in Finland.

Honestly, medicine is losing its credibility at ever calling out pseudoscience and alternative medicine here. This needs to be called out, dismantled and people disciplined. Instead? Praise. What a disaster. The only profession to actually regress from such an advanced stage.

I was going to say that they need to pour cold water on this idea,and then beat it with sticks, but they might think it a sign of approval.

They say the more symptoms a person has the more likely it is they have a psychological disorder. I have a better theory. The more diseases a treatment claims to cure the more likely it is to be quackery.

DNRS is just another in a long line.
