Hmm, she'll extrapolate to ME/CFS and then accuse people with mood disorders of stalking her and issuing threats?

 

Or correlating the incidence of "chronic fatigue" with depression in teens. High incidence of both and prevalence of correlation.
Betting a jar of (invisible) magic beans.

 

I'm tempted to go along and watch, I can't watch her online without swearing like a docker though...

 

Because psychiatrists only feel with their mind and are equally comfortable measuring with poetry as well as pathology: I'm sure it'll be an edgy beat poem about mood disorders and how it correlates to how under attack she is.

 

Perhaps she will view this as an opportunity to correct certain unfortunate impressions which have arisen after her last two presentations.

One would expect that someone who might appear in court as an expert witness would wish to take the first opportunity of setting the record straight.

Exeter is where she did her talk at the 'Day with the MUPPETS' conference (http://www.meassociation.org.uk/201...with-title-for-todays-conference-18-may-2017/), so she will be 'among friends' and no doubt get a standing ovation.

I'm surprised they haven't come up with some equally catchy acronym for this series of talks.

eta: interesting that's she's using the encephalopathy rather than encephalomyelitis (maybe she finds it easier to say/remember?), and that she splits CFS from ME(?)

"SMILE was a pilot trial on children with ME/CFS and involved comparing the effects of standard medical treatment (SMC) against that of the Lightning Process & SMC.[4] The initial budget was £164,000 funded by the Linbury Trust and the Ashden Trust.[5]

Children aged 12 to 18 were drawn from the Bristol & Bath areas, with those too unwell to attend hospital appointments excluded. The charity Association of Young People with ME (AYME) was a participant in the trial[6] and gave evidence in support during the trial ethics procedure.

A Freedom of Information request asking for the cost of the trial and payments to Phil Parker were turned down as they university states the "information is held by the University but is exempt from disclosure under section 22(1) of the Freedom of Information Act as it is information intended for future publication"

Any information on this FOI?
