David Tuller - Trial By Error: Yesterday's News from the CFS/ME Research Collaborative

I hope people at Bristol have started to realize that she is becoming a liability. Universities don't usually like their faculty members to falsely accuse faculty at other well-known institutions of being libelous--not to mention in their inaugural addresses. They usually don't like their faculty members to be caught lying publicly about cease-and-desist letters being sent. Her own antics have boxed her in. Perhaps Bristol even knows its complaint to Berkeley came off looking like a thuggish effort to squelch academic freedom and has likely dented the university's reputation.

I also think that EC's astonishing ethics bypass for the school absence study will likely have shocked genuine scientists, and maybe opened their eyes to some of the other realities of her work; the spell may be finally breaking. Hopefully Bristol are coming to realise they don't want to get pulled down by her ... but they'd better get their act together and move fast.

I assumed her 'new role' was simply becoming a professor either got the promotion doesn't need to serve on committees or a slightly different was of saying 'wants to spend more time with her family'

She has been a professor for a while and that would not keep her off committees. It would not be called a new role either. I think she must have a new administrative title. We shall not doubt discover in time.

by my count there are no hatched chickens at this time.

i don't trust anything that we, or people we trust, are not in charge of.

and there will come a time when we don't need to read the tea leaves. we won't be out of the loop.

edited. [it needed clarification. and it needed randomly jumbled metaphors.]

Could be a lateral move, like, say... just a jump to the left.
