Blood Volume Deficit in POTS Assessed by Semi-Automated Carbon Monoxide Rebreathing, 2024, Kulapatana et al

Haven’t read the paper but is it not slightly problematic to have a very different proportion of sexes in control vs test group?

They seem to be using two control groups - female matched and a further male comparison also analysed for BV/HR correlations.

It looks quite a nice study from the abstract at least. The question for me would be to what extent their POTS cohort might be relevant to ME/CFS OI patients.

I think this is a very readable paper, sensibly describing great basic clinical science (+maths, physics, chemistry) and a very good study overall. It's one that I have added to the "What studies should we do?" thread.
