Parents of children diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) reveal how they have been investigated and referred for child protection measures on suspicion of a rare form of child abuse known as Fabricated or Induced Illness (FII).

My understanding is that he got considerable pushback from authority figures for the 1999 programme, and that this prevented him from doing any sort of follow-up until recently.

He deserves thanks for this. Whilst it did not include a lot of info , and could have provided more graphic info ( a lot was not used), it opened a dialogue with the general ( radio4) audience , and added to other media coverage.
