A life Hidden : This Is Love: An Appeal to Musicians

Kara Jane is a singer with a voice that touches the heart.

Its sweet, clear tone conveys both vulnerability and strength, creating a heartfelt connection with her audience.

There is a melancholic quality too, hinting at a deeper pain: Kara is seriously ill with ME, with a life expectancy that could be very limited. Despite her condition she has retained the ability to sing a small amount, and her dream is to produce an album of her own songs while it is still possible. Today, on international ME awareness day, I am appealing to musicians and audio engineers who may be able to help achieve this dream.

Firstly, a huge thank you for all the messages of support and concern for Kara following our last post. Kara remains in a fragile condition but has been slowly improving over the past week, and has been touched by all the well wishes sent her way.

"This morning she was well enough to be interviewed on BBC Radio Nottingham. It was a lengthy item and she will pay heavily for it, but she was determined to go ahead. Our thanks to Alan Clifford for an informative interview that conveyed the seriousness of ME, as well as recognising Kara as a talented artist in her own right."
"There are two recordings of the interview – one contains Crushed, while the other has no music, for those with sound sensitivity."

Kara’s Battle
by adminkjs
Hello everyone. This is Kara’s team.

As many of you are already aware, Kara is very seriously ill in hospital. Last week we were told that she would not survive the night. Amazingly she is still with us, and in the last 24 hours there has been an unexpected improvement in her condition.

Unfortunately she remains very ill indeed, and it is too soon to say that she is at a point of safety. But things are at least looking better than a few days ago, and her incredible spirit remains strong.

Kara and her family have been overwhelmed by all the messages of love and support that they have received. Some of them have been read to Kara, and it helps her keep going to know that so many people are thinking of her. She and her family have a strong Christian faith and also welcome everyone’s prayers.

It has been wonderful to see donations to Kara’s fund shooting up in the last few days. Every donation gives Kara a boost. Her dream is to raise £100,000 to establish a post-mortem research centre, so that this terrible illness can receive the attention it deserves.

Kara’s JustGiving page is here.

And if you haven’t already done so, do consider streaming or downloading her beautiful album. It’s available here, on all major platforms.

Thank you again for your support, love and prayers.

Kara, we are all with you xxx
