Education materials are being developed by a GP Working Resources group that Dr Nina Muirhead has contact with. There is also a CMRC Education group. I am not directly involved but the plan is to have modules ready for medical schools and RCGP . Both would need to be approved by RCGP and whoever...
I think you've hit the nail on the head as usual.
Local GP trainees in their 3rd year are just being taught the difference between false positives and false negatives. I learned this as a second year student.
I'm also really fed up with " qualitative thematic analysis" . A fancy name for a survey.

Do you have the letter on a file that we can share in N Ireland or has this already been done? We have several contacts in local media we can " coerce" !
Isn't the basic problem always the same i.e. doctors thinking that qualitative studies are as reliable as quantitative ones?
How on earth do we stop this? It's easy to churn out this rubbish and far too easy to get it published.
