Hypoxia has delayed effects on the brain. Could this explain PEM?

Interesting and promising The trio won the prestigious Lasker prize in 2016. In work that spanned more than two decades, the researchers teased apart different aspects of how cells in the body first sense and then respond to low oxygen levels. The crucial gas is used by tiny structures called...

    Brain inflammation

@Sallycatherineharris what does your GP make of these symptoms? My understanding is that 'brain inflammation' can occur in depression, PD and brain injury, but it doesn't necessarily include discomfort or pain.

Medical Medium & the celery juice 'cure'

I drank various celery combo drinks when I was a big juicer fan in the 90's. I'm still 'here'. "influencers' have no life/job with fake 'followers'.

The Guardian: 'Like someone flicked a switch': the premenstrual disorder that upturns women's lives', 2019

I never suffered with premenstrual symptoms, the 'switch' occurred when I entered menopause. I had ME before menopause so understood the differences. The mood/dark feelings have finally lifted after 3 years.

Maureen Hanson talk at OMF Symposium 2019

There were several brain autopsies performed on deceased ME patients that indicated enterovirus infection in brain tissue (autopsy) that was never detected in the blood or stomach biopsies as this was the case with one of Dr. Chia's patient. I'm not saying that chronic infection doesn't occur...

Maureen Hanson talk at OMF Symposium 2019

@duncan exactly. Why is Ron Davis's son being rushed to have an MRI if they are 'getting closer' to finding something?? They can't wait a little longer?

Maureen Hanson talk at OMF Symposium 2019

The reason I mentioned immune modulators was because Maureen Hansen was 'excited' about immune-modulatory drugs. They need to be very careful with this because the ME doctor I saw back in the 90's was not fond of this and it turned he was right in my case.
