An interview with Jen Brea on the Ouch Disability Podcast On BBC iPlayer Radio http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05mgjjz 19 minutes long eta - Omar Wasow, Jen's husband also speaks.
Yes. It pretty much was what the BBCs recent long article said. eta: BBC article here https://www.s4me.info/index.php?thr...bed-to-prove-my-illness-is-real-jen-brea.897/
I can't actually remember what the BBC article said, or anything much from this podcast. If anyone thinks that this thread should be merged with the BBC article or deleted that's fine with me, go ahead and report it. The way I am today by tomorrow I probably won't remember either item at all, or this thread, or this post.

She describes her current health situation as being like a battery which only charges about 40%. I'm also not feeling so great at the moment, and you can probably hear it in both of our voices as we chat. As the opening credits roll on the film we see Jen lying on the floor completely unable to move, and her arms are shaking as she tries to pull herself up. It's a situation that I've been in more times than I would like to count and it's something that I think is very familiar for a lot of people with chronic illnesses. I started by asking her why she turned the camera on herself in that moment. JENNIFER - In that particular moment I had gotten up and tried walking to the bathroom, and I made it there but on the way back I just had that sensation, that premonition of 'oh my gosh, I'm going down!' I have these moments where I lose all muscle force and literally won't be able to lift my head or move my body. Omar was downstairs and I could hear him talking to someone but I was too weak to even call out and so I did what I often do when I am in that state, I had my phone with me and I just started recording. -------- (c) 2017 BBC (Please go to link for rest of interview.)
