    They don't even know half of it. They seem to be flagging academic mills in other countries but are overlooking the same, far more insidious, problem much closer to home.

    And the two are closely linked together. The degradation of academic that allows BS like the biopsychosocial ideology and most of so-called evidence-based medicine to thrive despite not being worth a damn is the same problem as the academic mills, just in a different form. It's a problem of validity at its core.
