UK: ME Association, Press Request for Case Study/Studies, December 2017

Andy

Retired committee member
The MEA said:
We have been approached by a journalist working on behalf of a national newspaper weekend magazine who would like to speak to a young person and their family about living with M.E.

Ideally, they are looking for someone under 20 who was diagnosed as a child/teenager and at school. They will also need to interview the patient’s parents, and possibly siblings, to talk about the impact the illness has on them.

The family must also be comfortable to be photographed as part of the feature and should be available for interview in the next three weeks.

The journalist writing this story has a track record of writing strong human interest stories with sensitivity and depth for national publications. We cannot control what is written in the media - however this is an opportunity bring stories of life with ME to a wider audience and to spread awareness.
