Benefits & Work is putting on a free 40-minute webinar or anyone applying for Personal Independence Payments during the lockdown:

    "FREE PIP CHANGES WEBINARS
It is extremely difficult to work out what is happening to your benefits during the current emergency. Changes to PIP claims, assessments and appeals are happening almost daily.

But we are reduced to listening to recorded messages on DWP answering machines and trying to interpret off-the-cuff comments by ministers, because up-to-date guidance is not being published by the department.

If you are struggling to understand what has changed and how, our webinars will help. They last 40 minutes and are entirely free. Please let other claimants and support workers know about them and post a link if you can.

Claimants and carers PIP webinar, 2pm on Monday 11 May
This webinar is open to all claimants and carers. You can post a question at the bottom of the registration page, though we can't guarantee to answer them all.

If this webinar fills up, we will put on another one, so please call back again."

I applaud & welcome the fact someone has gone to the bother of doing the seminar. 40 minutes about what has changed and how.

It also highlights how labyrinthine the system is. 40 minutes - not on explaining the benefit, how to in the form and what additional info you'll need with advice on how to get it. No. Just on the changes because of the pandemic.
