Teenager with ME’s life has been transformed by a robot that helps her learn

A teenager with an illness that makes her so tired she can’t even go to school has had her life transformed by a robot which allows her to learn at home.

Makayla Nunn, 14, has been given another chance at learning with the help of a specially designed robot, which she has named Robbie.

Makayla was diagnosed with ME when she was eight, and had to give up ballet, tap dancing and horse riding.

It got so bad that she could no longer attend school every day and some days had to sleep for 21 hours a day.

Those who have developed the robot, AV1, just tweeted this :)

It seems to have been well accepted at a football club Everton too. Usually a child gets to accompany the Captain out on the pitch, get to meet players, have tours etc, but the robot was used to give the same experience. You can't get much of a better advert for inclusion than for the technology to be seen as socially good and cool?

I really like the photo too.
