Targeting mast cells could be beneficial to treat Covid-19 patients

    One of my doctors is treating long covid patients with Ketotifen, which is a mast cell stabilizer and antihistamine.

    I think the only way to get Ketotifen in the U.S. is from a compounding pharmacy. Two of my doctors are very mainstream, but they are still willing to prescribe a compounded prescription when that would be best for a situation.

    The disadvantage of compounded prescriptions here is that most insurance companies won't cover them, so you have to pay without getting any help from insurance.
