Received a text message out of the blue on my mobile phone from my GP clinic along the lines of
"as a patient with asthma we have referred you to our new online clinic who will support your care".
Then a link to a patients portal to register. The company is called Suvera
www.suvera.com
Looks like they are involved with other areas, not just asthma. The messages are genuine as my GP has an announcement about this on their website.
Suvera was started by Ivan Beckley (fair bit about him online). Who graduated from a NHS Clinical Entrepreneur program (through NHS England) plus a few tech bros.
Companies House shows the latest Director is an American Michael Waters. His Linked in profile is interesting. Another person involved may be a Hong Kong property magnet. Possibly where the original 5 million or so startup capital came from? Could be wrong.
I'm not sure how exactly how they can help me. My asthma isn't on my current top 10 problems that I need to follow up. There is no way I would want them to have my personal data.
The text messages are still coming. On the most recent one that are saying that someone is going to call me because I haven't signed up. Should be an interesting call.
Anyone else?
