Exploring the long-term consequences of viral illnesses, learning from lived experience how employers can support their people through this.

About this Event

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people around the world have developed long covid, or long-lasting symptoms that follow a case of Covid-19. These long-lasting symptoms impact on people’s ability to perform normally at work – with fatigue, cognitive decline and crashes after exertion impacting on people’s health and working lives.

However, post-viral illnesses are not confined to long Covid – for example ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) affects over 250,000 people in the UK daily. This can affect people of any age and walk of life.

In this interactive workshop, we are delighted to be joined by Juan Corlett, Engagement Lead for Community Support and Integrated Care for the ME Association. We will also be joined by Lee Jefcott, Partner in Employment Law at Brabners.

The session will explore the long-term consequences of viral illnesses, and we will learn from lived experience how employers can support their people through this.

Numbers for this event are limited, so we are asking that only one representative from each organisation signs up. If you are unable to attend after ordering a ticket, please cancel so it can be redistributed.
