Both my mam and I had a history of blacking out if we had to stand in school assemblies, but it was nothing to do with ME/CFS. It was just an individual quirk, the same way my friend would go dizzy enough to fall if she bent her neck to look directly upwards, yet the same movement wouldn't bother me at all.

Both me and my dad had something very similar. Oftentimes when we stood up too fast we’d faint (or in his case almost faint) or if we stood up for too long on a bad day start feeling like were about to faint.
