News in Brief - Forum introduction

Greetings and welcome to the News in Brief subforum.

The aim is to provide a weekly brief summary of some key events and discussions on S4ME with links to outside sources and S4ME threads.

The target market includes:
People who have difficulty reading long documents.
Visitors and new members finding their way around the forums.
Anyone wanting a handy way to check what is going on.

I intend to post a single post once a week, with a new thread each month.

These reports will inevitably leave out some topics - my aim is to be brief, not comprehensive. Any opinions expressed are my own, but I'll try to reflect the views expressed in the thread discussions.
