It's been all over the news. Covered by most publications, so suggest anyone interested should do a search.
Situation is moving quite quickly.
The strain has been identified as the meningitis b, bacterial strain aka Menb.
Although Wes Streeting has just said it is a rare strain, other sources say it is the most common (80% of cases).
One thing I have gleaned is that the anti-biotics being dished out as a preventative measure is Ciprofloxacin.
Given the seriousness of the disease this is understandable.
But I think people tempted to go and get some themselves should be aware of the dangers of Fluoroquinolones.
