ME/CVS Vereniging: shocking story about the (mal)treatment of an ME/CFS-patient

The Dutch organisation ME/CVS Vereniging has translated into English a recount from an ME-patient about a stay in a Dutch rehabilitation centre 15 years ago. The patient is still struggling with consequences of that horrible stay.

That is such a horrendous story. Surely child abuse. And completely unethical to discharge patients just before 3 months so they don't count as failures in the stats.

Truly horrific, my heart goes out to Monique and all who have had to endure this kind of medical abuse.

One day I'd like to see the full force of the law being brought to bare on the relevant doctors and institutions, because that looks as if it is the only thing that might stop this. Hit the institutions in their pockets and that might just change how they act.
