Mark Edwards: What relationship do stressful life events, neglect & abuse have with functional neurological disorder (conversion disorder)?

Agree it is bizarre. I understand how CBT can change thinking but how thinking can change 'hardware' problems seems to be a function of their imagination.

I am becoming concerned that it may turn out that the types of imaging tech we have is not sufficient to the task of teasing out the 'hardware' problems that exist possibly at a deeper level than can be ascertained by a scan.
