Research that I'm sure most of us didn't know was needed ;) It mentions CFS but I refuse to take it seriously enough to put in any other sub-forum.

    Paywalled at https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1550830718301265

"Modern research with mediums" - So we're not allowed to duck them with the witches in the village pond any more?

"Data was collected from 5 Windbridge Certified Research Mediums"
I love this sentence. There's a world of possibility for the imagination in it. I almost wish I could read the whole thing.

I'm very sorry if people who say they are mediums have a cfs diagnosis, but I don't see how spending money on this research helps anyone.

I did, actually. It does look kind of fun, and the video actually made me laugh. I doubt they'll be adding to our understanding of the universe anytime soon.

I think magicians (i.e., professional cold readers, etc) should form the control group if the research was to be meaningful.

    They said
Maybe being a medium would be a low-energy, at-home occupation that ME/CFS patients could engage in. :D

Jethro: "I read up here on these here castle ghosts, and all you gots to do is hold a séance and exorcise the rascals."

Miss Jane: "But Jethro, you're not a medium!"

    Jethro (embarrassed): "I know. I'm a large."

So it seems that mediums have different health questionnaire answering behaviour than non-mediums!

Yes - I think they begin by asking if there are any non-believers present. ;)
