The title "...very far from all in the mind..."
Is wrong. Very far seems to imply a relationship, a cause and effect.

She should have written: it has nothing to do with the mind.

Nice succinct letter.
I see they chose a nice slightly mauve ribbed cardigan with casual neckscarf. It adds a nice little irony.

 

"prebuttals"--I always taught writing students to include "prebuttals" of the arguments the other side will raise.

 

This needs to be repeated ad nauseam. Because it's true. It's amazing that barely anyone makes the obvious leap. This is exactly what we warned about. Opportunity cost does not spare feelings, it applies as firmly as many of the laws of the universe. Long haulers need to be mad about this and they have every right to. None of this was accidental, people chose to fail, were warned about it and doubled down the whole time.

Failure, thy nature is biopsychosocial.

 

Hilarious. I've not dressed like that for years! Mind you, they've nailed that weight-of-the-world look.

this is where true vicious circles came from .

 

I'm beginning to think that psychology is just a marketing ploy. A pyramid scheme to hook up other psychologists to a 'new' trademarked form of CBT wonderful or revisionist ACT and the workshop & materials and the certifications (! especially those !) cost the participants thousands of dollars/euros.
