I'm not a medical doctor so I don't know whether suggestions like this are common for other illnesses. It seems plausible to me on a superficial level that possibly people with ME/CFS should avoid vaccinations during relapses. Like many things, it would be great to have more research done on such topics.

Neurology Group Updates Guidelines on Vaccination in Multiple Sclerosis

The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) has updated its 2002 guidelines on immunization in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Published in Neurology, the guidelines emphasize that clinicians should follow all local vaccine recommendations (such as from the CDC) in patients with MS — unless there are contraindications, including current use of immunosuppressive or immunomodulating agents. For patients having an MS relapse, vaccination should be delayed until the relapse is no longer active.
