Patients battle for justice

from MillionsMissing
"thousands of people around the world will rally to demand justice for myalgic encephalomyelitis"

The Exploration of Justice through film:
"First-time director Jennifer Brea searches for justice and answers in her documentary “Unrest.”

It might make a good tag for this years #MillionsMissing protests too(?)

#Justice4ME or #JusticeForME

Either one is fine. The word Justice is perfect to our cause I think. We have been treated unjustly by the BPS researchers, which has led to: unjust "science"; unjust medical treatment; unjust reporting; and an unjust social perception of people with ME.

This tag goes so much further than just the science, but ALSO covers the science angle too. A very strong tag in my mind. :)

Apologies for being extra-taciturn at the moment - it's for the obvious (ME) reason.

In my opinion, three points to consider re the fabulous hashtag idea:

1. should be accessible for everyone, hence e.g. to be easily understood when read by a computer voice (avoid too many abbreviations)

2. It sounds somehow odd to me to demand justice for a disease (Justice4ME) in the sufferers' place. Since "pwME" already was agreed to not be a good solution, #Justice4MEpatients would be perhaps better, but still quite long?

3. Those are just for fun:

I think "Justice" works well, given that everything else - good science, honest media coverage, etc - is all covered by the notion of justice. If we could truly say that PwME now had justice, then everything else would have fallen into place. If only.

I really like #Justice4ME. There will, after all, be some context that will clarify that it refers to myalgic encephalomyelitis, won't there? And what's wrong with saying Justice for Me? We do need justice.

I was sick for a long time before I figured out the "Pw" part. Does it mean anything to the vast majority of people who might see the hashtag?

------------
ETA second paragraph

I do think that #Justice4ME rolls of the tongue well, which I suspect is quite important. Much easier for someone to talk to someone else about "Justice for M.E." than "Justice for People with M.E."
