    @Kalliope: brilliant.

imo we can have more than one. not nec at same time. one for @dave30th is the most urgent.

#MyalgicEncephaloAccuracy? [not that anybody can spell that.]

#ActualScience could work with the science reform movement.

i want something like #IStandWithPWME for the long term. i really want to leverage the concept of people standing with us. joining us. being there for us. creating a movement. and standing up to misopathy.

[aside: david can be thought of as an early adopter / visionary https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology_adoption_life_cycle . he and others like him are standing with our community. this is a key part of bringing the early majority on board. the key thing is to become a movement. movements need davids. [hmm, #DavidFightsGoliath?]]

    maybe #IDonatedToMEScience?

or for instead of to? or i just donated? or i donated more?

i wish hashtags could have hyphens.

Thank you everyone for your inputs and ideas!

Ideally one short hashtag should sum up a donation to science as response to rubbish, that ME-patients are the ones who are pro science and those most supportive of research into ME, and something outsiders can understand and hopefully support. Phew..

    How about something like:
    #IStandWithScience

and hopefully the context will fill in the dots for others..?

ETA: No, hashtag already in use..

March for Science has the hashtag ScienceNotSilence which I like a lot. Would love to come up with something similar for our purpose.

possibly a bit of an oxymoron?

I know this might sound a bit cliche but I've gone round and round and looked at various thesaurus options so my suggestion is #Justice4ME

    definition:
    just behaviour or treatment.
"a concern for justice, peace, and genuine respect for people"
synonyms: fairness, justness, fair play, equity, lack of bias, objectivity

the quality of being fair and reasonable.

of course I would also like to see the other form of justice but this would be good for starters.

Some really good suggestions. I like:

#Justice4ME. It’s short, to the point, not too fiddly to type and I like the definition (thanks @Sly Saint ).

#IStandWithScience. It’s clear and to the point. Gets a message across. A little more fiddly to type than the former.

Of the last suggestions, I prefer #JusticeforME. I think it's important to get ME into it.
I stand with Science is not specific enough imo. Everyone could support it without it being obvious that ME is the issue.

Wow. Thank you again for all suggestions. It is so great to have someone to throw around ideas with!

I've narrowed it down and removed the suggestions with Tuller's name and those including PWME.
We are then left with these suggestions. (that doesn't mean you can't come up with new suggestions. It doesn't matter if the process takes a couple of days longer in order to get the best slogan possible)

    #ExploreMEScience
    #RealSCIENCEforME
    #donate4MEScience
    #biosci4ME
    #ActualScience
    #MEScience
    #4MEScience
    #GoFundMEScience
    #MEScienceWorks
    #MyalgicEncephaloAccuracy
    #IDonatedToMEScience
    #Justice4ME
    #JustScience
    #JustScience4ME

There is no one I don't like. It seems the favourite so far is #Justice4ME. I also like a lot #IDonatedToMEScience (a bit long, but gets the message through).

I was trying to narrow down the suggestions. It was pointed out that "PWME" in a hashtag would be a second thing for people to "get". But if you want, we can bring back the suggestions with PWME.

I hope within a few days we can narrow the suggestions down to around five and then vote.

Yes, I realise that some people won't know what ME is. I had heard of ME and CFS before I started reading forums on the subject, but I wasn't familiar with the PW part. Keeping things as simple as possible is a worthy goal, but personally I think we should include the name of the disease people are drawing attention to. Any hashtag referring to "Science" is great, but how are people to know that we are referring to ME if we don't include the name? We could be campaigning for cancer, arthritis, dementia or any one of many hundreds of conditions.

But if you google PWME you get the answer very quickly

I would, i think my favourite is #RealScience4pwME (not on your list)
It would work great when dealing with PACE pushers

Perhaps you should run a poll with all then a second poll with the top 5?

" patients with ME are demanding justice"

Peter Tatchell, who irritated Sharpe so much, began his tweet with the above words. Think justice and ME are very good words to have together. Gets to the essence of our case, helps reverse the vexatious patients narrative.
    #JusticeforME.

    ED: or #Justice4ME

#JusticeforME is a great slogan, I agree. But does donation to research and the pro science bit come across?

Or preferably#JusticeForME - capitalization to separate words is essential I think.

Imo, but this may not be everyone's view, it is most important to get across the idea of justice and ME. Donations and science follow and can amplify the basic message which needs to be succinct and clear. Everyone has a perception of what justice means and probably ME.

I think Sharpe was stung by PEter Tatchell's tweet so those words may get to others too.
