I think #realSCIENCEforME is a good one![]()
If your using it against PACErs its saying they are peddling alternative facts and we want realityI thought I liked this one until I had a passing thought - does 'real science for ME' imply just 'science for ME' on its own (ie this forum) is not real, or not real science or in some way fake?
A bit like 'real Donald Trump' used to distinguish his twitter from the fakers. (sorry to lower the tone).
Yes, I agree that right now the focus is on Tuller's fundraising. But I am thinking that a more general hashtag might be better instead of creating a new one when Tuller's campaign is over. The campaign is donating to research (and Tuller) as a response to tweets/articles etc from the biopsychosocio-crowd. When Tuller's crowdfunding is over, one can use the same hashtag and donate to OMF, InvestinME, SolveMECFS etc etc.Right now it's David Tullers campaign that needs funding. Should we just focus on that first?
Could we start with something like #Tuller4ME or something to make the most of the current short window of opportunity and think of something else for the longer term?
With David's permission of course.
I like #pwME4science.
Yes. I see your point. Using PWME will result in two things to get across instead of one.#4MEScience?
I wonder if use of PwME in any form will be confusing for people who support us, but aren't conversant with that term.
Think this is a great idea, by the way, @Kalliope!![]()
True - we can use whatever words we want and make is super simple. The Refugee Council needed a campaign (and to spend a lot of money) to get across what #Trollmelding indicates. We don't have such resources, so a hashtag which is easy to understand, like and support is important.I like the #real/actualscience4me options, but the Norwegian campaign simply uses #trollmessage, and doesn't refer to refugees. Everyone can relate to the idea of a troll message, and sympathise/empathise - no explanation required.
Since the BPS advocates are effectively trolling ME patients, maybe something similar that helps raise sympathy and awareness? #trolledME ?
#Donating2ME ...perhaps..
I see your point.not sure about that one. It sounds a little selfish and might feed into the needy, weak, attention seeking ME patient narrative.
I do like #trolledME @Indigophoton!
Using capitals to separate words in hashtags is very important for screen readers (apps etc that convert text into synthesized speech) to function properly.Avoiding lots of capitals in case some PwME find that to over the top?
